We tried clomid (clomiphene) 50mgs for our first cycle w/o results. our doctor says to raise clomid (clomiphene) to 100mg or try letrozole at a low dosage. what should we do?

Ask your doctor: I have my patients use 3 different doses of Clomiphene (up to 150 mg) before switching to letrozole, but some doctors prefer to start with letrozole. If you did not ovulate with 50 mg clomiphene, and you have been adequately evaulated for other causes of infertility/anovulation, then 100 mg should be safe.
