Worth following: Slight elevations of ast / alt can result from trivial / viral illnesses, taking a bit of an over-the-counter painkiller, or lots else. Your physician will probably just repeat these with you off all meds and alcohol. This would be a great time to talk with your physician about why you're taking coconut oil and what your fitness habits are like, before running more fancy labs. Good luck.

Many causes: Elevated liver enzymes can have many causes- acute or chronic viruses, side effects of drugs, alcohol, environmental toxins and (most commonly) nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. I know of no evidence that coconut oil or apple cider vinegar raises liver enzymes, though 3 tbsp a day of coconut oil is a lot. See you doc to evaluate.
