A member asked:

Is floss first, brush second and then rinse, the new paradigm for home dental cleaning?

Varies: I prefer floss, rinse, brush, rinse. Flossing gets rid of particles between the teeth that a brush doesn't touch. If you reversed it that is not a big deal, as long as you do both thoroughly.

Sounds good!: Honestly, doing them in any order is fine as long as you are doing them regularly. Listen to your periodontist's recommendations and you will enjoy your teeth longer. Floss and brush, brush and floss....Yes!

Who Says So: Look it is important that you do all three when you clean your teeth, and some one might have developed a new theory about the order. My preference is to get as much plaque off the teeth before dragging the string between the teeth and possibly drawing infectred material with the floss. So i say brush floss and rinse.
