How often do kids outgrow both parents in height? and if they do, what is the reason for it? mom 5'4" dad 5'6" wondering if there's a chance i'll grow

Any taller family : Kids height is usually the average hight of mom plus dad's divided by two, but they can take after an aunt , uncle or grand parent and become taller or even shorter than their parents. After age 16 growth will be slower and growth plates will be closed by 18.

Too little data: Expected final height in girls is average of parental height less 2.5 in.Boys get to add 2.5 inches. Most girls stop growing around 16 and or grow 2.5 inches after first menses. If you entered puberty at the same time as your friends, you are likely at your final height.
