A member asked:

How does taking my azathroprine help my crohn's disease? what does it do for me?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Helps a lot: It helps reducing the flare ups and maintain clinical remission (absence of disease). It reduces the need for steroid use which can have serious side effects if taken for long periods.
