Unknown: Ashwagandha is an herbal product reported to have various health benefits through its antiinflammatory/immunomodulating effects, both important in crohn's disease (cd). It has not been tested in humans as extensively as azathioprine. Although safety provide is favorable, it effects on cd or interaction with azathioprine is not known. It may or may not be safe & effective, we just don't know 4 sure.
