I have generalized itching all over that comes and goes (no rash). i have been on azathioprine for years for crohn's. i have tried benadryl (diphenhydramine) & lotion. could the itching be related to the azathioprine?

Hard to tell: Allergic reactions to medications are more common in the beginning of treatment with them, so in your case i'd be trying to rule out other potential causes. If all else fails, and azothioprine remains the only plausible culprit, talk to your GI specialist and find common ground on your next step.
