Burn treatment: Any burn requires treatment. The type of treatment depends upon the extent and severity of the burn. Minor burns can be treated with non-prescription antibiotic ointment after cleansing with soap and water. Minor burns are slightly red without a blister or opening in the skin. Deep or extensive burns should be evaluated by a doctor as more treatment may be needed.
