Usually asymptomatic: Brain aneurysms are usually asymptomatic. Autopsy studies suggest up to 10% of the population may have an unruptured brain aneurysm. These usually come to light when a patient presents with a devastating bleed and "the worst headache of their life".Routine screening(brain mri/mra) is not done unless there is a family history of brain aneurysms.Detailed doctor's exam may find some hints of aneurysm.
