A member asked:

Can you please talk about which is generally healthier real sugar or artificial sweetener?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Both: There are no medical problems with either. Sugar has "empty calories" which provide no nutrition -- but there are no problems as long as your intake of either sugar or sweetener is in moderation. It's the total calories you take in in the rest of your food that matters.
