Yes: Another popular method to correct nearsighted ness is icl or intraocular contact lens which is place in the eye without removing any tissue with a laser as we do with lasik. Of course contact lenses and glasses work well too.

LASIK Alternatives: Alternatives to lasik include glasses, contact lenses, intraocular surgery and advanced surface ablation (asa) also known as prk or lasek. The advantage of asa is no flap, making it even safer than lasik. The downside is longer healing. I suggest asa to all members of the military and anyone in a position to potentially receive serious trauma to their face like boxers.
