Potential, 4 awhile: Depending on your unique corneal variables ( astigmatism, level of myopia/hyperopia, corneal thickness, posterior corneal curvature) if all acceptable, then you have about an 95 to 98% chance to be out of your corrective spectacle/contact lenses. At least for awhile anyway. As you age, other factors enter the glasses freedom era, such as presbyopia, cataracts, corneal elasticity changes.

Dr. Fishburn is correct...After 16 years as a Lasik specialist I have learned that even perfect Lasik results does not stop aging.
After age 40+ we all get ''old sightedness'' and may finally need reading glasses for reading..
My Lasik patients say, "Dr. Sibley, tell your patients to get Lasik ASAP and enjoy it for a lifetime."
