Get help: Treatment for depression does work. Any person who is having depression and/or thoughts about hurting him or her self should get help with a mental health professional either directly or by speaking to a primary care doctor. You can go directly to a hospital or call 911. There are also emergency hotlines or helplines such as 1-800-273-talk. A friend or family member may help you get help.

Place U Can Call Now: A good place to start is the national suicide prevention lifeline at 1-800-273-talk (8255). The lifeline is staffed by caring people who can help. Keep in mind: we can feel one way about something on one day, yet feel a very different way about it on another day. Find someone who can help you sort out what you want/need & help you clear away (or go around) the obstacles standing in your way.
