Gingivitis: Bleeding when brushing is usually from gingivitis. Gingivitis is an inflammation of the gums caused by bacteria. Effective brushing and flossing should reduce the gingivitis. Brush your gums as well as your teeth. This should remove the plaque and the gum line.

I tend to find my gums bleeding. This mostly happens in the morning before and after brushing and after meals. I also find I wake up with a dry mouth and throat even though I drink quite a bit of water. What could the cause be?
