Many factors: Whether or not to be sedated for wisdom tooth removal depends upon many factors- the difficulty of the extractions & your comfort level for that procedure being the two main ones. Everyone is different. I remove 95% of impacted teeth with local anesthesia & "sweet air" alone. Some patients prefer to be sedated. Usually it's IV sedation, but oral medication is another option. Discuss with surgeon.

Talk to surgeon: Talk to the oral surgeon about this and any other question you have. He is the best one to answer this in your particular case, but many patients are sedated during wisdom tooth extractions and find it is an easy way to do it.
