Wellbutrin (bupropion): Wellbutrin (bupropion) takes 4-6 weeks for effectiveness, but you may get some response before that. Your doctor may also need to gradually adjust your dosage. It may help you feel better -- learning to like yourself is an additional process best helped through psychotherapy. The medication can clear depressive feelings so that working through personal issues does not feel so overwhelming.
