No it will not work: Wellbrutin has to be taken daily to be effective and can not be taken on and off when you have the symptoms discuss with your doctors as there are other medicines like benzodiazepines used for acute anxiety attacks.

Need to take regular: Anti-depressants need to build up an effect over 3-6 weeks. They do not work on an as needed basis. Talk to yiur doctor about your symptoms.
