Two different: Both medicstions are for rate control. As a cardiologist we favor betablocker therefore carvedilol. However betablockes sometimes can cause fatigue and erictile dysfunction in men. Talk to your doctor.

Either one: Side effects from medications are often idiosyncratic - anyone can get any of them from any medication. Both these medications are usually well-tolerated.
