Afib: Memory loss is a problem seen with long term afib. Rate control may need increasing doses of med with time as receptors upregulate. Should discuss both with your doctor, might suggest additional work up or medication.

Are you in : Any anticoagulation therapy? The chads2 score used to determine choice of thromboprophylaxis. Zero score no treatment or aspirin. Rate control very important to less than 110. Memory loss could be related to treatment and to increase hr. You should see your cardiologist soon for better rate control and to review your treatments. I will recommend repeat echo to r/o atrial thrombus.
