Sensory Processing: This is called "sensory defensiveness" & we all have a degree of it (e.g. Nails on a blackboard) but he needs to be seen by a development specialist if there are any associated problems (delayed or loss of speech, excessive anxiety, preferring to play by himself, avoiding eye contact, etc.). If there are no other issues, it can be treated by an "occupational therapist" who works with kids.
