Expected: If you put grommets in the ear drum,it provides a link between the back of the throat and the outside that an intact eardrum would prevent.If he blows his nose, the pressure allows air to enter the Eustachian tube & escape through the grommet. I'd caution him not to blow hard.He can blow germs into his ear and trigger infection.
