Recently, after i hear a loud noise like a hammer or a blaring horn in traffic my ears ring for hours afterwards. why? what's the cure? help!

Nerve damage: This should be short lasting and indicates that the ear nerve may have been damaged from the loud noise. It should be reversible on its own.
