Cracked tooth: A tooth that has previously been fine and only hurts to chew is a symptom of a cracked tooth. The actual tooth is often difficult to isolate. Once identified, a crown is the usual treatment. However even, even after the crown is placed it can be months before the tooth is back to normal.
