Now may be the time: That wisdom tooth may have its own time schedule, and it may need extraction whether you're ready or not. If infected, you'll need to see a local oral surgeon or dentist for antibiotics and an extraction. The sooner the better.

Wisdom tooth: Without examination and x-rays any a$vice would just be a guess, See a wisdom tooth expert, an Oral Surgeon, to determine extent of the pathology, presence/absence of infection or inflammation, damage to adjacent teeth and/or hard and soft tissues. You may not feel that you are "ready," but it seems the tooth is telling you otherwise. Listen to your body and your specialist.
