Maybe MS: But optic neuritis can be nonspecific, and due to other causes. If you have but one additional white matter lesion on MRI, your odds of clinically definite MS in 14 yrs is over 80%. Glad you are to see neurologist. Get this clarified and start potent treatment if diagnosis is confirmed.
