Sinus lifts: You are correct in that you want a surgeon who performs this procedure 'routinely'. Ask your local dental society for referrals to oral surgeons in your area who are experienced in this procedure. I can recommend dr. Mike picos, he teaches other oral surgeons and I have been to his class. He is outside of tampa.

Lots!: I can't really suggest a specific number, but the more the better. I'd want to hear at least a couple of dozen per year..

Sinus lift: I would not be overly concerned with the number of lifts done in the past year to determine an answer to that question. It isn't like if 10 were done thats not good, but 12 oh 12 is the magic number. You should do alittle of your own due diligence and do a little research so you have something to relate to presentation of their treatment. Ask questions? Be informed. That should give more comfort.

Periodontist, Oral S: See a specialist. They are the ones who are best trained, and find this a common procedure. Many do this daily!
