Not infected: I'd say there's a very small chance that you're infected. A white line on the side of the tongue is usually an indication of teeth clenching. The line comes from compressing the tongue against the side of the teeth to try to "insulate" them against cold foods/solutions, and results in a white line along the sides of the tongue. This is your most likely answer.
