See MD now.: Sounds like you have a thrombosed hemorrhoid which is a clot in a hemorrhoid. These are painful and do not travel anywhere. Initial care is with warm baths or sits baths with warm water and even epsom salts. Anal suppositories may help. If no improvement with this then you should see surgeon who can evacuate(drain) this in the office under local anesthesia.
