A 60-year-old male asked:
Good morning doctors. i had a colonoscopy, and the dr saw (only) diverticulosis and internal hemorrhoids. i still have not had a bm in around 4 days. what or what else could be wrong with me? isn't this bad if dr says colonoscopy was otherwise normal?

After Colonoscopy: If no bowel movement days after a colo, there are several causes. Some sources say that it may take 3 days to have a BM after a colo. It may be from not much dietary fiber intake afterwards to form a BM. Also depends on why colo was done in the first place (symptoms or cancer screening). Some are concerning. Overall, it's OK to call their office and get specific recommendations for your situation.
