Oral antibiotics : Commonly prescribed effective acne fighting oral antibiotics include tetracycline class antibiotics such as Doxycycline or Minocycline . At times Azithromycin or sulfa antibiotics are used depending on a patients allergies , effectiveness of previous antibiotics , dosing convenience , side effects, etc . Communicate with your doctor as to the effectiveness of your individualized treatment.
