Yes and more: Swollen glands can be due to infection or due to cancer of the lymph nodes which is called a lymphoma. An oncologist is a cancer specialist who can diagnose and treat cancer. A hematologist /oncologist can also do the same job. So you will need a hematologist or medical oncologist for a second opinion. Usually they get involved once a biopsy has been done and a diagnosis of cancer is established.
