A member asked:

I just had breast reduction surgery last thursday , is it ok to have hepatite a vaccination after just 10 days of my surgery?thank you in advance

Can you wait?: The vaccine is ok, but following major surgery your immune response to it is suppressed for a while. If you could wait a month the vaccine might work better. Vaccines could also be given before surgery but it seems that ship has sailed in your case. Is there a rush to get the shot now or can it wait? Check with your internal medicine doctor.

Ok: Should be no problem receiving the vaccination 10 days after breast reduction surgery. Your interests will let you know if he/she sees any problems with your plan. Best wishes.
