Not the key: A sensible diet with relatively little animal fat and a reasonable amount of fiber is a good choice for almost everyone. Different physicians and different politicians will give you different instructions on just who needs to eliminate just what from the diet; there's not a lot of hard science. I'd urge you instead to focus on physical fitness and eat sensibly. Eager to hear others' comments.

Trans fats & sugars: Cholesterol does not cause heart disease but inflammation does, so whether cholesterol is high or low it's best to avoid foods that cause inflammation- esp.
