A member asked:

What happens if your oral cyst gets a bruise on it from accidentally cutting it on your teeth?

Bruise = bleeding: The bruise is from the breakdown of blood products when you bled from cutting the area with your teeth. If you were diagnosed with a cyst, and the cyst itself did not rupture you will still need a follow-up and removal of the cyst if it was previously recommended.

Maybe Nothing: This is generally not a problem, but it may take much longer to heal. Make sure you know the diagnosis of the cyst (is it in fact a cyst?). Oral cancer is a very common, multifaceted, and sneaky disease. Make sure you have it checked by your dentist.
