Decreased feeding: The back of the throat and tonsils require the mechanical action of feeding to help strip mucous and old skin accumulation off these surfaces.Limited oral intake and or lack of roughage in the diet can lead to increased accumulations on these structures. Try to stay hydrated and keep up with your energy needs and don't dwell over the appearance of your tonsils. It may be weeks before they improve.
