My daughter had a rough year last year with shingles and mono and was diagnosed a few weeks ago with a throat virus. it left scars on her throat that are irritated and show up with drainage. she now has problems with hoarseness and says it hurts to sing.

Throat virus: Virus infections usually do not produce drainage - the voice issue may be a largngitis. I would have her seen by an ENT doctor. Last thing you want is a bacterial infection to set in.
