What causes fecalith to block your appendix?

Stone and blockage: Fecoliths are calcified fecal material in appendix. Sometimes it obstructs the appendix causing appendicitis.Imaging with ct and ultrasound now detects smaller appendicoliths that are not obstructing in people without appendicitis. Usually size of lith in association with obstruction, inflammation and infection.
