Kidney symptoms: The symptom most predictive of a kidney problem is moderate to severe pain next to your spine just below your lowest rib. Usually it occurs on only 1 side. This could be due to kidney stones, kidney infection, or a kidney tumor. Other symptoms: a very small amount of urine over a 24-hour period, or a very, very high amount of urine. Many kidney diseases, eg chronic renal failure have no symptoms.
