Kidney problem with efgr at 55. what can i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

EGFR of 55: You need to see a nephrologist to get a definite answer. Your egfr means "estimated glomerular filtration rate". A nephrologist will order a 24 hour urine to arrive at your actual gfr. Your egfr is arrived at by taking into account your sex, age, weight and race along with your serum creatinine level. You need a renal ultrasound to see if you have any renal obstruction causing your egfr of 55.
