Indirectly: Indirectly, if you have a sprained/ torn ligament in your ankle, then you can compensate your walking and therefore injury your back. However, it is not directly related. Treat the sprained ankle ligament with rest, icing, bracing, and antiinflammatory meds (ibuprofen, etc) for 2 weeks. If pain continues, see your doctor. Hope this helps!
