I'm just wondering, if you injected numbing stuff into someone's eye, what would happen?

Corneal melts: Injections are done by ophthalmologists. It should wear off. Need to patch the eye. Anesthesia drops for the eye can be devastating with corneal melting and total loss of the eye, if used poorly. The anesthesia drops reduce or eliminate the sensation (what is anesthesia), and therefore the total rate of blinking. Cornea drys out, and melts, perforates, gets infected and total loss of eye follows.
