Hi nurse have injected a intramuscular injection on my buttok and i am feeling numb at that area of 3 cms radius from two days is it haarmful ?

Were Not a nurse!: The sciatic nerve runs under the muscles of the buttocks. While we try to avoid injecting anywhere near that nerve by injecting to the outside part of the muscle, the nerve can be affected. If the nerve itself was injected, u would have PAIN. It's more likely that some of the medication traveled to that area indirectly. Give it a week. You should be fine.
