Yes, for sure: A fairly large proportion of patients can be cured from their leukemia with the use of modern chemotherapy. But the cure rate depends and varies on the type of leukemia and the age of the patient. Younger patients are cured about 80% of the time; adults: 30-40% but older folks(over 60 years of age) have a poor outcome even with the modern treatments.
