Maybe: Usually adults earache is caused by inflammation of the ear canal, or swimmer's ear. If you pull on your outer ear and it hurts, that may be an indication of outer ear infection. This can be treated with medicine drops at the pharmacy. However, especially children, this can be an inner ear infection, which needs a prescription antibiotic. If you're not sure please consult your family doctor.
