Out of balance: "homeostasis" means the total balance of the body's various systems working together. When you get a disease, such as lung cancer, it throws the body out of homeostasis. In fact, all disease states throw the body out of homeostasis, and the body then tries to get back into homeostasis, with varying degrees of success. In fact, many symptoms are caused because the body is trying to achieve that.

Artificial question: All cancers are the result of accumulated genetic mutations in a line of cells, and unless you are treated with surgery, radiation and/or evidence-based chemotherapy for lung cancer, it will kill you. The word "homeostasis" is misused by charlatans. Anyone who tells you otherwise, or that they have something that "will restore homeostasis naturally" without scientific rx is deceiving you.
