Just wondering if you get dumped and you loved that person, could getting dumped cause you to get a mental disorder?

It is hurtful: When a person is rejected by someone that they care about it can be very painful. This can cause depression which at times can be serious. It also can exacerbate any underlying mental disorder. People get over these things but sometimes they need professional help.
