A member asked:

My left leg and foot are swelling. is there something i can take to decrease the swelling?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Swelling: Swelling may result from different things such as problems with the veins or lymphatic system, systemic conditions like high blood pressure or heart failure, and trauma like sprains and fractures. A visit to your primary care physician or podiatrist may help to uncover the cause. If you are having calf pain and redness with the swelling, you should go to the er to rule out a blood clot in the leg.
