Find new habits: To lose weight you need to increase energy expenditure through exercise or other activities while decreasing food intake. Eliminate empty calories, particularly from soda, alcohol. Try to tie activity to habits you have already. This could include taking the stairs rather than the elevator to your office, or parking further away from where you work or shop. Small changes add up over time.
