Try another?: Not every birth control works for every woman. Most commonly the best for regulating periods is oral contraceptives. If the doctor was at fault for misplacing the iud, i'm not sure why you can't try another, like the Mirena (levonorgestrel) which helps to decrease menstrual flow. If you tried one oral contraceptive and it didn't work, i would try another brand. I think you still have options, so don't give up.
