Does an endoscope procedure detect ulcers and other stomach issues? i don't want to do it unless i know for sure what this procedure detects.

Upper GI: Endoscopy or egd (esophagogastroduodenoscopy) will detect abnormalities of the mucosal lining of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. This is the best test to detect ulcers, inflammation/inflection, or cancer. I don't know what other issues you would like to know about.
